If you want eco fashion / ethical clothing where the organic cotton is really organic and where the sustainable clothing is really sustainable, and where no children are ever involved in manufacture, come to TOOA!
We believe that eco fashion and ethical clothing really matter. This means we avoid shortcuts and cheats. If it can’t be genuinely made as ethical clothing / eco fashion then we simply won’t stock it. We’ve turned down good examples of organic cotton and bamboo clothing because they came complete with bits and pieces that we didn’t think were ethically responsible, such as sequins that might have been sewn by kids. If it doesn’t fit our definition of ethical clothing / eco fashion then you won’t see it in TOOA.
TOOA is about sustainability and environmental and social responsibility. This means that we focus on organic cotton and other organic textiles, but also sustainable fabrics like bamboo. Bamboo clothing is particularly important because bamboo is a crop that grows easily and quickly and takes little out of the soil.

So, for now, we at TOOA are starting small with a range of ethical clothing / eco fashion made from completely certified and reliable organic cotton and bamboo.
We love Frozen River in particular because they were so worried about being able to audit the organic cotton supply, that they ended up getting everything made closer to home in Portugal. Their organic cotton and bamboo clothing is all made on our doorstep compared to many other brands and this has obvious advantages for sustainability and it also means that their organic cotton and bamboo clothing is fantastically auditable. The Frozen River team visit their ethical clothing / eco fashion manufacturing partners in Portugal regularly to make sure everything checks out. They have had to miss out on some super cheap ‘organic’ cotton and other ‘ethical’ clothing / eco fashion options from the far-east because they want to be close to the source. For similar reasons, we stock only a few organic cotton items made outside Europe in fact the Zeme Vest and our Onagono Organic Cotton tees are the only ethical clothing / eco fashion lines in TOOA that are made so far away. Simply, we needed to be sure of who we were dealing with. Zeme is a brand dedicated to organic cotton. We like what they are doing in their small factory and we like the fact that they are a local company dedicated to organic cotton and ethical clothing / eco fashion.
